Booking Experiences with Klook Travel

Klook is an online ticketing service for different attractions and tours across Asia.

I first used Klook to book my ticket for Singapore Sentosoa’s Adventure Cove Water Park. I also used it to book some Hong Kong attractions such as Ngong Ping, Disneyland and Victoria Peak. Aside from these two countries, they also offer tickets for tours and attractions in Taipei, Seoul, Tokyo and many more. With this in mind, I’ll definitely be using the site again for my future travels. Now, what’s so great with Klook?

Booking is Easy, Fast, and Convenient. Not to mention affordable!

To start, you’ll need to create an account from scratch or linked through your Facebook or WeChat. You’ll also need a credit card or a PayPal account to complete and pay for the transaction.

Once logged in, you can either search for tours or attractions or use particular destinations and browse through them. If you’re not sure about any of these, you can always look at their blog or read user reviews.

3

For each attraction or tour, you’ll see a number of details on their page. These include, but are not limited to, the attraction/tour name, how fast you’ll receive your ticket, its description, additional information, usage, cancellation and lastly, the price. You might notice how the higher price is slashed off; this is an estimate of how much you’d have to pay for when you buy the ticket originally.

Once you’ve filled in necessary details such as the date and number of people availing the ticket, you’ll be redirected to the traveler’s information and payment page. Accomplish the form, complete the transaction, and you’re done! The receipt and the voucher will then be sent to your registered email.

Tip: Some attractions or tours might require further verification on Klook’s part and would need more than a day of processing. It’s best that you book your tickets earlier. It’s also advisable that you read the nitty-gritty details since they’re already presented as bullet points and not as a long wall of text.

Skip Long Queues with E-Tickets

4

Some of the tickets you purchase are in electronic form so you can skip going to ticket booths to buy them. On our recent trip to Hong Kong’s Ocean Park and Disneyland, all we had to do was go directly to the turnstiles, show the printed or the soft copy version of the ticket, and we were in! Other vouchers allow you to get your tickets from the “pre-booked” booths so that’s also faster than queuing up on the standard booth.

Earn Klook Credits for Every Experience You Book and Review

5

I love the fact that, aside from discounted tickets, you also earn credits for every experience you book. You’ll also be given an additional 50 credits when you provide a review for the experiences. You can then use these credits on your next purchase to further lower the cost.

Before you jump in to book, you can use my referral to get a Php 150.00 off on your booking by using the link here. You can also download their app on Google Play and on iTunes.

Have fun and safe travels!

Hi I would like to ask if how much it will costs on paying them through credit card issued in Ph? Klook doesn’t receive Php yet and I am wondering if our local bank will charge upon payment. Thank you.

    Reply
    • Hi Rhacell! I think that would depend on the foreign exchange rate on that day plus the amount charged by your credit card’s fees. From what I heard, BPI has the lowest conversion fee charges.

When paying for transactions in foreign currency, banks would usually convert the amount then include all the costs/charges automatically. Because of this, the amount will be a little higher on your credit card than the total shown on Klook’s check out page.

  • Hi I just want to ask if klook accepts visa debit card or master card debit? Thank You.

    • Hi Deana! I haven’t tried paying with a debit card yet so I honestly can’t say… I checked Klook’s FAQs and it says they accept payment via credit card and PayPal. However, I’ve also seen promos from different banks (such as BDO, Citi and BPI) that debit cards can also be used…

I dropped them a message so hopefully they respond soon. I’ll update you by then!

can i book activities for other person even if I wont be part of those who will use it?
pupunta kasi family ng friend ko sa hk and ask me to book them on klook

    Reply
    • Hi Marc! Yup, pwede ka naman mag-book for your friend. Just make sure to enter the information of the one who will be traveling. May mga activites rin ata na kailangan mag-prepare ng authorization letter at ng photocopy ng ID ng nag-book para mai-redeem ng iba (such as SIM / WiFi sa airports).

hi is paymaya accepted in klook? 🙂

Hi Reena! Klook accepts Visa, Mastercard and AMEX (for HKD transactions). I’m not familiar with PayMaya but I checked that they give you a virtual Visa or Mastercard; so technically, it should also be accepted…

Hi! I purchased a Thailand trip with hotel transfer. How will I know if they will not bail us out? And what do I do when I meet up with the tour guide? Also, how will I contact him? Thank you just scared. 🙁

Hi Katrina! Have you received confirmation from Klook? You should be able to find additional information there regarding the driver’s or tour guide’s details.

If this is for a hotel transfer from the airport, they should be holding out a sign board with your name on it at the exit of the airport terminal. Usually, they can be contacted through a messaging app such as WhatsApp, Viber, or WeChat. You might need to contact them and confirm everything before your travel; otherwise, you might need to rent or purchase either a SIM card with internet capabilities or WiFi to get in touch with them on the day itself.

Hi Katrina! You can visit their Help Page here: https://www.klook.com/faq. There should be a “Chat With Us” function on the lower right corner.

Their customer representative should be able to help you further with your concerns. 🙂

      • Hi,

I have made booking via Klook but it’s more than 48 hours already and no confirmation yet. Can you please share the contact number to call? Thank you

Hi Steph! Yes, you can. Just make sure to enter the information of the person traveling and not the credit card owner when asked for details (unless this is in the payment page).

  • I’m confused with their payment,
My currency is PHP then the app says that there is a additional cost of 126$ as I remembered.
It is too much than i expected. This is only for the charges.
Do you have any suggestions regarding this? I’m afraid to use my credit card. It still a peso but if i’m going to
change my currency in app as Dollar should it be okay if I used my credit card?

    Reply
    • Hi Jem! Were you able to reach the page showing a summary of the costs? You can probably take a screenshot of this and check with Klook’s customer service to find out where that additional $126 came from.

As for the payment currency, Klook currently accepts only USD, HKD, SGD and TWD as payment(when set to the display currency). Any other display currencies you select will be charged in USD. This will automatically be converted to Philippine peso by your credit card issuer (with additional fees, but shouldn’t be TOO high). Hope this helps!

  • may the currency in use be fixed or use the euro or the dollar as the international currency

  • Hi, i made a booking in Klook for HK Disneyland. I filled up all the booking information as well as my credit card details. When i clicked on Pay, it loaded and then it just stayed on the page, so i pressed Pay again and the same thing happened. I already contacted them and all they said was to check with my bank.. super not helpful. Any idea on what happened or if they charged me at all? Thanks

    Reply
    • Hi Liza! I’m not really sure what caused this… It could have been their website, your internet, or the bank… To check if you got charged, you can go to your online/mobile banking and see if any transactions were posted…

      • do they accept over the counter payment? i saw Dragon pay OTC just dont know how to use it. 🙁

        Reply
        • Hi Khiel! If it’s through DragonPay, you’ll be paying Klook through the banks either via online banking or OTC payment. They’ll give you DragonPay’s account number which you will deposit the needed amount in. I tried this with BDO although not necessarily for klook. After the payment is processed, they’ll be using the reference number to verify your purchase.

Hi, i booked for 4 Ocean Park tickets but am thinking of selling them since we had a change of plans..would you know if Klook or Ocean Park requires ID prior to entrance? I know they only need the printed tixket with QR code right?

          • Hi Gina! I’ve used Klook for a number of amusement parks already and they usually just scan the QR code at the turnstile. I’ve never been asked to present any form of ID so it should be fine.

  • Hi Kevin,

I used dragonpay for the tix we’ll be using to our HK trip and tomorrow will be the deadline of payment. I would like to ask if I should be paying them in USD or in peso? I selected OTC Banking. Appreciate if you could help me with this. 🙂
