Banawe’s Cajun Red Rock
Located at 108 N. S. Amoranto Street, Santa Mesa Heights, Quezon City, Cajun Red Rock is an American-style family restaurant that deserves a lot more attention. They serve pizza, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, ribs, salads, and pies to name a few. Think of it as an affordable TGIF.
When we ordered the mojos, we were told that they ran out of potatoes but could use sweet potatoes as an alternative. It did taste different than your usual mojos but it was still great. The mojos were already flavorful from the spices and herbs even without the dip.
Instead of having the need to choose which ribs to try, they have the ribs platter which contains (I’m not so sure) their Smoked BBQ Jambalaya, Jack Daniel’s and Cajun Bourbon. The ribs were really flavorful so I think it would have been better to go with plain rice.
Cajun Redrock’s hash browns were totally different than what I had thought. Instead of fried, crispy potatoes, we got soft, moist, roasted potatoes!
You’ve probably guessed by now but I really love trying all kinds of pasta. Their shrimp pasta was really creamy and I felt heavy after eating this.
Their Long Island Tea isn’t alcoholic like in other restaurants and is made of lime, lemon and cucumber.
It was a very satisfying meal overall and I’d definitely come back here with my friends when we drop by Banawe. Cajun Red Rock is open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm daily.
