Cebu – Bohol Day 4 (Enjoying Henann Resort – Departure)

Itinerary for the Day: Henann Resort Alona Beach,  Tagbiliran Airport

For our 4th and last day, we decided to sleep in a bit. Aside from having no other plans in mind, we simply wanted to rest and relax in our comfy room. At about 7:30 am and with much prodding on Gladys, we decided to get up and get ready for breakfast.

We decided to go to Sea Breeze Cafe instead of the nearer Coral Cafe. This was so that we could enjoy a quick swim and a stroll along Panglao Beach one last time. At least for now!

One of Henann Resort Alona Beach’s dining options, Sea Breeze Cafe features a modern and contemporary design. In addition to the natural lighting coming through the windows, the space itself is well-planned and thought-out. This allows its patrons to move around comfortably while maximizing the dining area.

Breakfast buffet rates are at PHP 549.00 per person and was included with our accommodation. As for the food selection, all I can say is that they definitely did not disappoint!

For starters, we have lots of egg dishes. From plain eggs to mixed-in eggs to specially-cooked eggs. They have it all. On a serious note, it’s not everyday you get to see Egg Benedict served at breakfast buffets; so I just had to try this!

On the other side, we have more eggs!

Of course, breakfast won’t be complete without some meat. Here, we have ham, fish and bacon! Unlimited, crispy, smoky bacon!

Now, I’m actually not sure what this section is for. Toppings for the pancake and waffles?

Another staple at buffets are the Chinese dim sum or in this case, good, old siopao. I’m pretty sure their dim sum options vary greatly between breakfast and lunch or dinner.

For those who need heavier meals, they also have the noodles section.

In the middle area of the cafe, we have the salad bar. Next to it are the drinks station. They offer the staples such as milk, coffee and juice.

Up next, fresh fruits and some cold cuts.

They also have pastries and desserts. On top, you can find different flavored ensaymadas. Next to it are maja blancas and leche flans. Below, you can find different flavored yogurts.

Random thoughts: My breakfast for the day looks so good. A perfect start to a wonderful end!

Random thoughts: The leche flan was smooth and didn’t have the grainy texture that some have. The fruit jellies didn’t actually taste artificial like I expected; however, the sweetness of the leche flan simply eclipsed the fruit jellies.

After that filling breakfast, we went back to our room to pack-up and wait for check-out. We did try to request for a late check-out but sadly, they were unable to accommodate our request. With a heavy heart, we left our rooms and bid goodbye to Room 211.

As guests of Henann Resort, we also had a complementary transfer from the resort to the airport. However, the transfer is shared with other guests so the schedules are somewhat aggregated. Since our flight was around 6:00 pm in the afternoon, we opted to take the closest 2:30 pm shuttle. Once I’ve accomplished the check-out procedures, I signed us up for the shuttle service and left our luggage with the porters.

With a few more hours to spare, Eden decided to get a Henna tattoo by the beach instead of idling our time at their lounge. After that, we decided to hit up a light lunch at Sea Breeze Cafe once more.

With all that said and done, it was time to go back to reality. The journey from Henann Resort to Tagbiliran Airport and finally to Ninoy Aquino International Airport was pretty much a smooth sailing.

And that brings an end to our short yet amazing vacation at Cebu and Bohol! I wonder where my next local trip’s going to be? I’m currently thinking of heading on to Ilocos next. How about you? Where would you recommend?
