Alabang’s Ramen Yushoken

Serving the best ramen in town, Yushoken is located at Molito Commercial Complex, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

My friends and I decided to go out one Saturday to celebrate their birthdays. The place? Alabang. Since I live in Valenzuela, I’ve always been hesitant going anywhere too far south. With the travel time and curfew, and all. So when my friends suggested to go to Alabang’s Yushoken, I tried to back out. However, they were persistent in saying that the restaurant we’ll be going to has the best ramen. Intrigued, I gave in; it was their birthday too after all!

The Molito Commercial Complex houses different restaurants, one of which is Ramen Yushoken. Aside from various dining options, you can likewise find a number of banks, retail, health and beauty shops. You also don’t have to worry too much about the parking space. In addition to the parking area in Molito, you can also park at Alabang Town Center just across the street and then walk here.

As for the restaurant, there are probably around 10 – 15 tables all in all, plus the bar seats. The place is usually full during peak times so either you come here early or prepare to wait for your table. The ambiance of the restaurant is great, with natural lighting coming from two sides. The high ceiling also makes the place more vibrant and bright. The seats are also very comfortable and makes you just want to take a nap after dining.

Random thoughts: There’s a funny note taped on the washroom’s wall. I’ll leave it to you to check it out.

My friends ordered the Aji Tamago (PHP 80.00) for us to share and try. This is basically the Japanese version of a marinated, soft-boiled egg. It was unlike any other soft-boiled eggs I’ve eaten so you definitely have to order this one!

We also got ourselves two plates of Gyoza which costs PHP 180.00 each. I like how their gyoza has more meat than the dough. Again, this one is another “let’s order this!” dish.

And finally, the ramen. I ordered the Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen (PHP 380.00). With soy sauce as the base, the broth wasn’t too heavy and blended well with the other ingredients. To cap it off, the ramen comes with a savory, melt-in-your-mouth Char Siu!

Overall, the trip to Alabang was worth it; if not entirely for Ramen Yushoken. When you’re in the area, you definitely have to come here!
