Shanghai Hongqiao’s Hilton Garden Inn

Located at 1915 Huqingping Road Qingpu District, ShanghaiHilton Garden Inn Shanghai Hongqiao is conveniently close to the Hongqiao Integrated Transportation Hub and a number of industrial parks and business establishments.

Last June 27 to 29, I went on my first, all-expenses-paid business trip to Shanghai. DCA Power Tools, a supplier in our hardware business, financed the trip this time. Our main agenda was to go on a factory tour to see how their products are made. They did this to prove their competitiveness with Bosch, Makita, Hoyoma and Power House, other brands in the industry.

For our first night, we stayed at Hilton Honors Hotel. Specifically, at their Garden Inn in Hongqiao. Since we were on a tour, the company handled the check-in process. After trading in our passports for the key cards, we went immediately to our rooms to rest.

Staying at their Twin Room

The room was spacious and comfortable to stay in. Air conditioner temperature can be set through a panel found on the wall. There’s also a desk for business travelers to work on. Aside from that, there are numerous universal outlets available for charging your gadgets.

Standard inclusions to a hotel room can also be found here such as water, coffee and tea. There’s also an electric kettle, refrigerator and ice holder.

There are also other essentials such as an umbrella, ironing board, safe and slippers which you can find in their closets.

The hotel also provides toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner and shower gels for the convenience of guests.

Bathroom was also spacious and clean although there weren’t any bath tubs. While there is a rain shower, the usual shower hose isn’t anywhere to be found. Still, those are things we can live without.

Partaking in their Buffet Breakfast

The breakfast buffet is located on the second floor across a different building. Their selection includes a mix of western and oriental dishes although the choices are very, very limited. At best, the food is a nice reprieve for Filipinos who are not used to Chinese dishes in Shanghai.

Knowing about their other amenities

There’s also a fitness center and a laundry room located inside the hotel. Snacks are also sold at the lobby. The hotel also sells moon cakes under the Hilton Honors brand.
