Enjoying Korea with GoWonderfully
GoWonderfully is a Bilingual, online, personal assistant service that helps you with your needs when traveling to or staying in Korea. They accept requests such as making reservations, ordering things, hiring people, and many more.
One, if not the main reason for our trip to Korea, was to attend the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra World Tour in Seoul on October 6. Interpark held the sales rights of the ticket and was scheduled to start selling it on April 13.
On the day itself, we were distressed to find out that only Koreans were allowed to buy the tickets! During booking, we were asked to provide an ID to prove that we were of Korean nationality. Of course, none of us had it. Not giving up, my friend April asked her Korean work friend if he could book the tickets for us. However, that proved to be difficult as well.
Thankfully, she was able to discover KoreanBuddy and GoWonderfully. Although the concept is similar, these two provide their services and rates very differently.
KoreanBuddy
KoreanBuddy is basically a service provider for online shopping in Korea. First, you provide them with a list of items you want to buy. They will then give you a quotation of the total on top of their service fees. The fees I believe are a percentage of the total amount. Since we were going for VIP tickets, the fees ended up being really expensive. Because of this, we decided to check out other services. Lo and behold, GoWonderfully to the rescue!
GoWonderfully
GoWonderfully is a bilingual, personal assistance provider based in Korea. Unlike KoreanBuddy which only works as a personal shopper, GoWonderfully takes on requests and acts like a personal concierge. After registering for an account, you will need to place a deposit. Once this is done, go ahead and chat with their live assistant and make requests. They are billed for 800 KRW every minute and you don’t even have to worry about any unnecessary or hidden fees. You can also withdraw the unused deposit when you’re done with their services. This is so much better specially when buying expensive items in Korea!
With that said, special thanks to GoWonderfully for securing us our VIP tickets to Kingdom Heart’s Orchestra World Tour this October! I’m definitely looking forward to this!
