Ayala Group’s Ayala Rewards Circle
Ayala Rewards Circle is a membership program for clients from various Ayala Group subsidiaries such as Ayala Land (Ayala Land Premiere, Alveo, Avida), BPI, Globe, and AC Automotive.
Early this year, I decided to invest in Vertis North, a project in Quezon City by Ayala Land Inc. Because of news on the possible infrastructure developments in the area, I thought that this would be a good location to invest in. During a showroom visit, Alveo displayed a banner about ARC right in front of the reception. I asked my agent to register me since I have already made a purchase. However, he mentioned that I would have to choose between Ayala Rewards Circle and the discount on my property. I went for the discount since I thought that I could just register on my own anyway. Looking back, I should have been more assertive with both.
Anyway, since all the information can already be found on ARC’s website here, I’ll tell you about my experiences with them instead.
Applying for the Membership
Now, I’m not sure if Ayala’s subsidiaries coordinate with Ayala Rewards Circle for automatic membership or you need to explicitly register on your own. I wasn’t also sure if full payment for real estate has to be done first before one can be a member. Since there were a lot of gray areas, I decided to email them before anything. After giving them my details, I was told that I was indeed eligible for the membership and that they were processing my application. Just for the information, I made less than 6 month’s worth of payment so far.
Weeks passed and I sent an email to them to ask for updates. Their reply? They put my application on-hold since they didn’t have my middle name. This really irked me. For one, they should have contacted me instead of sending this reply when I asked for an update. Also, they have all the information they need from Alveo! They even have copies of my IDs! If this is the kind of service they give to VIP clients, then I probably shouldn’t expect much, should I?
Now that this has been resolved, they told me that my application will proceed and that they will notify me of any update in a week. Thankfully, they were able to send me an update on Friday of that week – I will be receiving my ARC card within 15 working days. Things seem to be looking up, but there’s still the delivery…
Note: You could probably avoid this scenario if you applied here instead of going through customer service.
Waiting for Your ARC Card
While waiting for your ARC card to be delivered, you will receive an email regarding the ARC mobile app. This allows you to avail the benefits even without the physical card. First, you will need to register using the mobile number and email you provided. Once the data matches, you will then be asked to create a password. As usual, these information will be used to log into your account. Once logged in, you will be given a short tour on how to use the app.
On October 10, Entrego, ARC’s designated courier, attempted to delivery my card. Unfortunately, I was out of the country so I had to send them an email regarding my delivery address’ landmarks. On October 12, I received my card. It came inside a neat envelope with an introduction letter and a list of some of their ongoing promos.
Enjoying the Benefits
There are lots of perks and privileges for ARC card holders. Some of these include special rates, early check-in and late check-out at hotels, dining discounts, preferred/priority lanes and free valet parking. So far, I haven’t used the card for anything but I’ll definitely use it for hotel bookings and dining.
Aside from the website, you can also download the ARC app on Android and iOS.
