Quick Guide to Discovering South Korea
6. Unleash your inner bookworm at Starfield Library
For book lovers, you can find the biggest library inside COEX Mall. The 2-floor library spans around 2,800 square meters so there’s sure to be a title that would pique your interest.
When you’re done, go ahead and shop at COEX Mall. Drop by their food court for yummy food and drinks!
7. Visit Korea’s historic castles, villages, gardens, gates, and temples
There’s no shortage of cultural spots when in Seoul. For one, you can visit Gyeongbokgung Palace or Changdeokgung Palace. Aside from that, you can take a quick tour at Huwon Secret Garden. Hanbok rental shops are also abundant inside and around the castles.
For villages, you can visit either Bukchon or Namsangol Hanok Village. As for the religious, you can go to Bongeunsa Temple.
8. Feed your adrenaline at Everland
The largest theme park in Korea, Everland is definitely one spot you wouldn’t want to miss. From rides, to parks, to festivals, there’s something everyone from every age can do.
Fret not, faint of hearts (or stomachs)! Aside from the wild rides, you can also go on a safari trip or make a stop at Panda World!
Tip #1: For our trip to Everland, we took the round-trip shuttle bus by Klook (https://www.klook.com/activity/2333-everland-shuttle-bus-seoul/?krt=s20&krid=7bf56f83-2688-48eb-67c5-a050bd76d766).
Tip #2: When making your itinerary, make sure your trip to Everland does not fall on a weekend or on a holiday! Waiting for an hour and thirty minutes for a single ride isn’t exactly the definition of fun.
9. Embark on a Klook Tour and visit Alpaca World, Nami Island, and Garden of the Morning Calm
The tour we booked from Klook is probably one of the best decisions we’ve ever made (https://www.klook.com/activity/10245-alpaca-pasture-nami-island-garden-of-morning-calm-day-tour-seoul/). In addition to the private transfer, our tour guide Cynthia, was very informative and helpful, even to the point of providing tips and tricks in finding the best locations for the best photos! Plus, lunch is included!
Alpaca World
Our first stop for the day was Alpaca World.
True to its name, the place highlights various activities with the alpacas. Feed them, go on a walk with them, take selfies with them… Just make sure not to stand behind them!
Of course, alpacas aren’t the only ones you can find there. There are sheep, deer, ducks, rabbits, and horses as well!
Nami Island
For K-Pop fans, Nami Island should definitely be on your bucket list. Go ahead and re-create those dramatic moments with your friends and family!
Garden of the Morning Calm
The Garden of the Morning Calm was probably the highlight of the day for me. It wasn’t as crowded as Nami Island and it was more colorful and vibrant than it too!
Tip #3: There are a lot of great sights to see in all three destinations so make sure not to spend too much time on one place!
