Earning Additional Asia Miles

Indulging in retail therapy while getting closer to flying for free with Asia Miles to your dream destination? Sounds too good to be true? Maybe not!

Similar to ShopBack and GoRewards, Cathay Pacific has its own portal for getting “additional rebates” when you shop online. Instead of withdrawing the cash rebate or earning GoRewards points, these rebates are automatically credited to your Asia Miles account.

With more people embracing online shopping since the pandemic, many companies have decided to take advantage of this trend by making these transactions more rewarding. Of course it’s also a way for them to gather data for Big Data analysis but eh. And with Christmas coming even closer, I’m sure a lot more people will be doing their last minute shopping. For those who want to make the most out of their money, being able to double and triple dip on rewards make everything even better. Here’s how you do it.

First, sign up for an Asia Miles account. You can do this on Cathay Pacific’s website here.

Next, you use the same account credentials to login to their portal here

Once you’ve logged in, simply find the shop you’re buying from.

Click on “Shop Now”, be redirected to the shop, and transact as usual!

And that’s it. In addition to the points you earn from using your credit card, you’ll also be earning Asia Miles. With how high the inflation is these days and how difficult it is to earn money, one really has to find ways to get more value for every cent.

Do you have other tips and tricks for double and triple dipping your transactions? Feel free to share them here!
