Paying SSS Contributions with MyEG
MyEG PH is probably one of the most underrated websites in the Philippines for performing transactions with government agencies such as SSS, BIR, PhilHealth, etc.
It’s an open secret that there’s a lot of red tape involved when it comes to performing government transactions, not to mention the logistic issues one has to deal with just to get things done. Thankfully, the government started to digitalize their processes and transactions. Unfortunately, this includes the growing pains of having to adapt to a new system. Still, this is only temporary and is definitely much better than going to a physical office and having to queue for a long time.
These days, one can perform government-related transactions or pay government-mandated contributions through various e-wallets such as Maya, GCash, and Grab or through online portals such as LandBank’s LinkBiz and MyEG. Since I don’t have a LandBank account, I decided to explore MyEG and find out what transactions I could perform there.
Transactions with SSS
For one, you can pay your SSS contributions through MyEG. Here’s how you can do it.
1. Log in to your account via the button on the upper right corner of the page. Create one if you don’t have any or you can just use your Google account for easier access.
2. Hover over “Government Services” and select “SSS Loans & Contributions Online Payment”.
3. If you have the PRN ready, select “Pay SSS loans and contributions”; otherwise, select “Generate PRN”.
4. Enter the details as needed, review the summary, then tick the acceptance for the terms and conditions. When okay, select “Confirm and Pay”.
5. Select the payment method you’ll be using and enter the payment details. Various options are available such as E-Wallet (Grab, Maya, and GCash), Over The Counter (partners), Credit Card (Mastercard/Visa), or Bank Transfer.
Note: Beware there are convenience fees for some of the payment methods above.
6. You’ll then be redirected to a confirmation page of your payment. Make sure to save the details in case it’s needed.
And that’s it! You’ve successfully paid your SSS contributions via MyEG.
