MVP (Most Valuable Partner) Rewards
MVP Rewards is the newest rewards system for telecommunication companies under MVP such as PLDT, Smart, TNT and Sun.
I’ve always been on the look-out for the latest ways to reward expenses. Since companies are getting most of our hard-earned money, I thought that we should get something in return, aside from quality product and services, of course. Because of this, I try to join as many membership programs as I can; specially those that offer points. From miles to rebates to coupons, you can be sure that I’m a member in them.
Previously, Smart rewarded its customers who pay in full and on time through its own program. This program allowed one to exchange points for a number of things such as electronic load, data packages, partner vouchers, etc. Similarly, PLDT rewarded its customers through its partnership with BDO Rewards. Both are great but can be quite a hassle to redeem and have limited options to choose from. By rewarding its customers through cashback or rebates in the form of a debit card, not only is it convenient, but the options are practically limitless!
The first step would be to sign up for an account at this page. Once done, you will need to link your PLDT, Smart, TNT and Sun to it. During the process, you will be verifying the ownership of the account. For example in postpaid accounts, you will receive an OTP on your phone. You will then have to input this in order to successfully link the two. After linking, just pay your bills or load up and wait for your cash back to be credited. Similarly, after the successful registration of your account, you will receive a message confirming this and of the delivery of your MVP card.
To use the cashback/rebates you’ve earned, you will need the physical MVP Visa card. Essentially, the MVP Rewards Card is powered by PayMaya so instead of its own mobile app, you link the card to PayMaya instead. Aside from purchases online through PayMaya, you can use the card as a Visa debit card.
I must say, the card looks very sleek in person. And to be honest, it looks a lot more luxurious than some of the Platinum credit cards given by banks. These banks should definitely try to up their game. I mean, for a card with a hefty annual fee to look less nice than a free one? Not exactly a good thing.
Aside from the cashback, there are tons of promos which you can avail by simple showing your card. My fave promo? 50% off on your second drink at Gong Cha!
For more information, you can visit their website here. You can also find their booth located in front of Smart and PLDT stores.
