EasyTrip’s RFID and Tag

EasyTrip Services Corporation is the exclusive partner for the toll system at NLEX and for CAVITEX (EasyDrive).

One of my goals last 2017 was to start getting used to driving. For 2018, it’s to be able to drive without being accompanied by my driver. While I’ve had the Chevrolet Trailblazer for around a year now, I was limited to driving it on Sundays, personal and family and outings. Anyway, driving in and out of Valenzuela can take a really long time so I was really thankful that an NLEX entry and exit road opened near us via Karuhatan.

I’ve been using EasyTrip’s products since I started driving. And I must say, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Even during rush hours, I can easily breeze through toll booths. Reloading is easy as it can be done online via credit cards and other payment channels. Although there’s an additional charge when paying with the card, at least I can earn reward points with it. So how do you get it?

Getting an EasyTrip RFID

First, you need to visit an EasyTrip Customer Service Center. To find one near you, you can check out their webpage here. Since the one nearest me is Balintawak Exit, I went there.

Enter the service center and say that you’re there to apply for an RFID. This is their latest product which appears like a sticker and is installed on the wind shield. Before you can proceed with your application however, they will first test whether this is viable or not.

Once your vehicle is eligible for the RFID sticker, you will be oriented on how it works, the payment channels and other do’s and don’ts. Fill up the application form, pay the necessary fees and wait for the activation period. Now you won’t need to keep preparing cash when passing through NLEX and CAVITEX toll booths!

Would I wish for everyone to get it? Of course! Just think, if everyone went cashless, there wouldn’t be any traffic build-up at express ways at any time. I hope to accomplish this 2018 goal so good luck to us and safe driving to all!

I have an Easytrip card and a sticker on the right side of my windshield. Do I have RFID?

Hi Rodelio! Yes, the sticker should be the RFID version. On the other hand, the tag version looks like a really small WiFi device.
