Checking out the New BDO Deals Website

If you can’t seem to find new promos or deals on BDO’s website, chances are, you’re looking in the wrong place. 

By now, BDO should have sent you their deals and promos on Viber. When you click the “Learn More” button, notice that you’re actually redirected to a swanky, new website. You will also be redirected here when you go through the navigations on BDO’s website. However, searching for “bdo promos” on search engines or using the URL through your browser history will lead you to the old page.

Note: You will actually be sent to the specific promo’s page but for the sake of this post, I went ahead and showed you the home page.

Here are some things I noticed regarding BDO’s new page:

• Deals are categorized really well. You can browse by type (credit card, debit card, rewards card), tags (featured, nearby, new, popular), and even by location! You can further drill down by choosing whether it’s for shopping, dining, or exploring.
• Interface isn’t crowded and is pleasing on the eyes. Those curved edges on some of the elements of the page gives it an overall soft feel. 

Note: I found a few bugs though! However, they’re just UI bugs and don’t seem to affect the function of the website.

The same can also be said of the BDO Deals App which is available on both Android and iOS. Do note that there are some functions on the app that are not available on the website such as the “Favorites” function. There’s also the “Notification” button that, when pressed, redirects to the “Inbox”. I’m not sure what this is for though.

Overall, this is a great improvement on BDO’s part. I just hope this cascades to their banking side (and for some, their investment side) too!
